Content & Submission Guidelines

To maintain the quality and consistency our readers expect, all guest post submissions must meet the following editorial standards. Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting your pitch or draft.

📝 Content Quality Standards

Word Count Requirement All guest posts must be a minimum of 1,200 words. We strongly prefer articles between 1,500 and 2,500 words, as longer, in-depth content ranks better in search engines and provides more value to our readers. Listicles, how-to guides, and style roundups should aim for 1,800+ words.

Your article must meet the following quality benchmarks:

✓  100% original content — no plagiarism, AI-spun text, or content previously published elsewhere

✓  Actionable and practical — readers should be able to implement your advice

✓  Well-researched with accurate information about decor products, styles, and trends

✓  Written in clear, engaging English — conversational yet professional in tone

✓  Free of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes

✓  Structured with an intro, clear subheadings (H2/H3), body paragraphs, and a conclusion

✓  Includes a clear call-to-action or takeaway at the end

🔍 SEO Optimization Requirements

Nestify Living is committed to publishing SEO-optimized content that ranks in Google search results. All submitted articles must follow these on-page SEO best practices:

✓  Include a primary focus keyword in the article title (H1), first 100 words, at least one H2 subheading, and the meta description: Target keyword

✓  Maintain a natural keyword density of 1–2%. Do not keyword-stuff: Keyword density

✓  Use H2 and H3 tags to structure your content logically. Subheadings should include secondary keywords where natural: Subheadings

✓  Suggest 2–3 internal links to relevant existing Nestify Living articles or categories: Internal linking

✓  Include 1–2 high-authority external links to support your claims (e.g., design publications, research studies): External linking

✓  Provide descriptive, keyword-rich alt text for all images: Image alt text

✓  Provide a 150–160 character meta description for your article: Meta description

✓  Suggest a clean, keyword-focused URL slug (e.g., /cozy-living-room-decor-ideas): URL slug

🖼️ Image Requirements

Visual content is central to our brand. All submitted articles must include high-quality imagery that meets the following standards:

✓  Minimum 3–5 images per article (more is encouraged for listicle-style posts)

✓  Images must be high-resolution (minimum 1200px wide) and visually appealing

✓  Use only royalty-free images (Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay) or your own original photography

✓  Do NOT submit copyrighted images without explicit permission from the rights holder

✓  Include captions and keyword-rich alt text for each image

✓  Images should be relevant to the content and reflect the Nestify Living aesthetic

❌ What We Do NOT Accept

To protect our readers and editorial integrity, we will automatically reject submissions that contain the following:

✗  Plagiarized, duplicate, or AI-generated content without human editing and expertise

✗  Promotional or advertorial content disguised as editorial (we do not publish sponsored posts in the Write For Us program)

✗  Content that has been previously published on another website or blog

✗  Articles that include more than 2 links to the same domain

✗  Low-quality, thin, or generic content that does not provide real value

✗  Content outside our defined topic categories

✗  Articles with aggressive self-promotion or excessive brand mentions in the body text✗  Content containing harmful, offensive, or misleading information
